Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900, which included the work A view of the Tiber Valley towards the North from Monte Mario by Giovanni Battista Lusieri. The price achieved of GBP 113,400.00 (€ 135,419.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Battista Lusieri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Panoramic view of Rome from Piazza San Pietro in Montorio on the Janiculum: From Saint Peter's to the Chiesa Nuova with San Giovanni dei Fiorentini and Castel Sant' Angelo in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 481,875.00 (€ 550,626.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Tiber Valley towards the North from Monte Mario von Giovanni Battista Lusieri zur Versteigerung kam.
