The work A Group Of Studies Of Neapolitan Figures, Including: A Neapolitan Woman With A Rake; A Woman With A Basket, Seen From The Back; A Woman Muffled In A Heavy Cloak; A Seated Woman Reaching Up; A Man Standing, His Cloak Slung Over His Shoulder, Seen From Behi by Giovanni Battista Lusieri was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection auction at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,425.14), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Lusieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panoramic view of Rome from Piazza San Pietro in Montorio on the Janiculum: From Saint Peter's to the Chiesa Nuova with San Giovanni dei Fiorentini and Castel Sant' Angelo in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 481,875.00 (€ 550,626.18).
