Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Christies in London held the auction Masterpieces of Design and Photography, which included the work A Pair of Rare Wingback Armchairs by Gio Ponti. The price achieved of GBP 118,750.00 (€ 137,829.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Gio Ponti have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2017 the work A Rare and Important Low Table was auctioned for GBP 143,750.00 (€ 163,903.14).

Im März 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Masterpieces of Design and Photography durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Pair of Rare Wingback Armchairs von Gio Ponti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 118.750,00 (€ 137.829,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Gio Ponti konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2017 die Arbeit A Rare and Important Low Table für GBP 143.750,00 (€ 163.903,14) versteigert.
