A top price for Gio Ponti
The work A Rare and Important Low Table by Gio Ponti was sold in the Masterpieces of Design & Photography auction at Christies in London in October 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 143,750.00 (€ 163,903.14), 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, A Rare and Important Low Table is even the most expensive work of art by Gio Ponti that we have observed at auctions so far.
