In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Pair of wing-back armchairs, designed for the Hotel Royal, Naples sold for HKD 176,400.00 (€ 19,161.61) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gio Ponti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Rare and Important Low Table in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 143,750.00 (€ 163,903.14).

In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction wurde die Arbeit Pair of wing-back armchairs, designed for the Hotel Royal, Naples für HKD 176.400,00 (€ 19.161,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gio Ponti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Rare and Important Low Table im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 143.750,00 (€ 163.903,14).
