Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Large 'Vaso delle Donne e dei Fiori' by Gio Ponti was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,460.83). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gio Ponti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Rare and Important Low Table, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 143,750.00 (€ 163,903.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Large 'Vaso delle Donne e dei Fiori' von Gio Ponti kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 62.460,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gio Ponti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Rare and Important Low Table beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 143.750,00 (€ 163.903,14) versteigert wurde.
