Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christy Turlington and Friends by Gilles Bensimon was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,632.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gilles Bensimon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elle and Friends Number 3, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,822.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christy Turlington and Friends von Gilles Bensimon kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.632,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.500,00 – 5.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gilles Bensimon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elle and Friends Number 3 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.822,70) versteigert wurde.
