Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Photographies, which included the work Audrey Hepburn, 1988 by Gilles Bensimon. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gilles Bensimon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elle and Friends Number 3, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,822.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Photographies durch, in der auch die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn, 1988 von Gilles Bensimon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gilles Bensimon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elle and Friends Number 3 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.822,70) versteigert wurde.
