In April 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work Untitled (femme allongée jaune/ fleurs blanches) by Ghada Amer. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,812.76) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghada Amer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (femme allongée jaune/ fleurs blanches) von Ghada Amer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.812,76) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ghada Amer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69).
