Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Blanc/Noir/Diane'S Revenge by Ghada Amer for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,017.69). This price was achieved in the auction Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ghada Amer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 179,290.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Blanc/Noir/Diane'S Revenge von Ghada Amer für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.017,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ghada Amer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (The Big Blue Expression Painting BBEP) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 120.000,00 (€ 179.290,69).
