Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Interior Of St Bavo Cathedral, Haarlem, With Figures Conversing by Gerrit Berckheyde was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in September 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 9,450.00 (€ 10,420.16), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerrit Berckheyde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Haarlem from the northwest corner with the Kruispoort and St. Bavo's Cathedral beyond in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 2,617,250.00 (€ 3,036,002.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Interior Of St Bavo Cathedral, Haarlem, With Figures Conversing von Gerrit Berckheyde wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.450,00 (€ 10.420,16) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerrit Berckheyde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Haarlem from the northwest corner with the Kruispoort and St. Bavo's Cathedral beyond im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.617.250,00 (€ 3.036.002,11).
