Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst could be acquired at Bonhams in London in April 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Le Casaquin de Laine (The Linen Jacket) changed hands for GBP 140.25 (€ 161.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in June last year with an auction result of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 204,926.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst konnte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints and Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Le Casaquin de Laine (The Linen Jacket) für GBP 140,25 (€ 161,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanity im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 204.926,62).
