Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Piccadilly by Night 26 x 36.2 cm. (10 1/4 x 14 1/4 in.) by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,864.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Leslie Brockhurst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in June last year with an auction result of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 204,926.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piccadilly by Night 26 x 36.2 cm. (10 1/4 x 14 1/4 in.) von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.864,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Leslie Brockhurst erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanity im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 204.926,62).
