This artwork by Ger Gerrits achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2001. In the TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART auction, the work Variatie III Op Comp.39 sold for NLG 3,760.00 (€ 1,807.23) - well above the upper estimate of NLG 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ger Gerrits achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch Ijskarretje in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 192,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ger Gerrits erzielte im Juni 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART wurde die Arbeit Variatie III Op Comp.39 für NLG 3.760,00 (€ 1.807,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von NLG 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ger Gerrits erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch Ijskarretje im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 192.250,00.
