This artwork by Ger Gerrits achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in December 2007. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Dutch Ijskarretje sold for EUR 192,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 70,000.00. This high result makes Dutch Ijskarretje the most expensive artwork by Ger Gerrits that we have observed at auctions so far.
