Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rupture frénétique by Georges Mathieu was sold in the Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain auction at Christies in Paris in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 60,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Mathieu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tuz Gölü in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 18,325,000.00 (€ 2,038,402.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rupture frénétique von Georges Mathieu wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Art d'Après-Guerre et Contemporain bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 60.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Mathieu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tuz Gölü im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.325.000,00 (€ 2.038.402,44).
