Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L’âme emprisonnée by Georges Mathieu was sold in the Art contemporain auction at Christies in Paris in December this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 94,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Mathieu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tuz Gölü in October 2021 with an auction result of HKD 18,325,000.00 (€ 2,038,402.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L’âme emprisonnée von Georges Mathieu wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Art contemporain bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 94.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Mathieu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tuz Gölü im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.325.000,00 (€ 2.038.402,44).
