The work Etude Pour La Meuse, Le Soir by Georges Lemmen was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,982.63), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Georges Lemmen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La modiste in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 173,250.00 (€ 257,847.89).

Die Arbeit Etude Pour La Meuse, Le Soir von Georges Lemmen wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.982,63) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georges Lemmen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La modiste im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.250,00 (€ 257.847,89).
