Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La femme en rouge by Georges Lemmen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,822.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Lemmen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La modiste in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 173,250.00 (€ 257,847.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La femme en rouge von Georges Lemmen kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.822,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Lemmen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La modiste im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 173.250,00 (€ 257.847,89).
