The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,719.90), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Wesley Bellows achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening Swell in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 7,893,000.00 (€ 5,728,282.17).
