Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction British Pictures, which included the work A clipper leaving London, with a view of Greenwich beyond by George Webster. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,862.50 (€ 25,144.02). Other works by George Webster have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,725.48) in July 2006 for the work A thirty gun frigate of the blue squadron off Dover castle in choppy seas.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A clipper leaving London, with a view of Greenwich beyond von George Webster zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.862,50 (€ 25.144,02) einen neuen Besitzer.
