Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Le Piano by George Morren. It changed hands for a price of GBP 34,100.00 (€ 44,601.46) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Morren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work À L'Harmonie (Jardin Public) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 915,000.00 (€ 784,061.70).
