The price achieved of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,451.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Morland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fox Inn in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 77,277.60).
