Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by George Morland achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2019. In the The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II auction, the work Study of a donkey sold for GBP 625.00 (€ 733.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Morland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fox Inn in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 53,775.00 (€ 77,277.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Morland erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ross Collection From Knockmore, Enniskerry, Wicklow, Part II wurde die Arbeit Study of a donkey für GBP 625,00 (€ 733,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Morland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fox Inn im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 53.775,00 (€ 77.277,60).
