Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Two Photographs including Vera Zorina by George Hurrell. Here, the upper estimate of USD 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 640.00 (€ 604.69). Admittedly, works by George Hurrell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hurrell, Portfolio I in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,538.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Photographs including Vera Zorina von George Hurrell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 640,00 (€ 604,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Hurrell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hurrell, Portfolio I im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.700,00 (€ 5.538,53).
