The price achieved of USD 5,019.00 (€ 4,042.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Herbert McCord - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Along the Lakeshore at Dusk, which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 14,340.00 (€ 13,155.96).
