In November 2020 Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Eagle Hawk Gully, Bendigo, 1852 by George French Angas. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 5,166.00 (€ 4,323.74), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George French Angas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eaglehawk Gully, Bendigo, 1852 in November 2020 with an auction result of AUD 418,200.00 (€ 350,016.74).

Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eagle Hawk Gully, Bendigo, 1852 von George French Angas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 5.166,00 (€ 4.323,74) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George French Angas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eaglehawk Gully, Bendigo, 1852 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 418.200,00 (€ 350.016,74).
