Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Group of 5 Landscape Etchings 5 by George Elbert Burr was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,118.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Elbert Burr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desert Night, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 1,997.50 (€ 2,353.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Group of 5 Landscape Etchings 5 von George Elbert Burr wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.280,00 (€ 1.118,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von George Elbert Burr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desert Night beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 1.997,50 (€ 2.353,88) versteigert wurde.
