The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 919.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Denholm Armour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lion and Lioness at Rest in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,655.57).
