Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Trials of Thomas; and The Trials of Thomas - The Christmas Holidays by George Denholm Armour was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2004. The price achieved of GBP 286.80 (€ 433.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Denholm Armour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lion and Lioness at Rest in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,655.57).
