Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The coach to Camberwell; and The coach to Elephant and Castle by George Cruikshank was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 831.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Cruikshank achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for 'The Highland Whisky-Still' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 7,409.00 (€ 10,816.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The coach to Camberwell; and The coach to Elephant and Castle von George Cruikshank wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert.
