The work Illustrations For 'Old Mother Hubbard' by George Cruikshank was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The auction ended at the price of GBP 600.00 (€ 891.02), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Cruikshank achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for 'The Highland Whisky-Still' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 7,409.00 (€ 10,816.91).

Die Arbeit Illustrations For 'Old Mother Hubbard' von George Cruikshank wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 891,02) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Cruikshank erzielen.
