Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Wastelands: Winter by George Copeland Ault. It changed hands for a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 57,782.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Copeland Ault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Plough and the Moon in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).

Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wastelands: Winter von George Copeland Ault zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 57.782,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Copeland Ault erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Plough and the Moon im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 687.500,00 (€ 609.107,82).
