In May 2017 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Methodist Church, Woodstock, New York by George Copeland Ault. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,599.86) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Copeland Ault achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Plough and the Moon in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).

Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Methodist Church, Woodstock, New York von George Copeland Ault zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.599,86) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Copeland Ault erzielen.
