The work Terre Mountain View by George Chann was sold in the Modern Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,590.41), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Peach Blossom Garden in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 487,487.84).

Die Arbeit Terre Mountain View von George Chann wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Modern Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.590,41) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Peach Blossom Garden im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 487.487,84).
