Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Chann could be acquired at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Oracle-Bone Script Variations changed hands for HKD 185,000.00 (€ 20,361.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Peach Blossom Garden in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 487,487.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Chann konnte im Oktober 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Oracle-Bone Script Variations für HKD 185.000,00 (€ 20.361,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Peach Blossom Garden im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 487.487,84).
