Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Az-Celt Shapes by George Campbell for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,505.66). This price was achieved in the auction British & Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Campbell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening In Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,167.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Az-Celt Shapes von George Campbell für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.505,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Campbell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening In Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.167,01).
