Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with crayfish 51 x 76.2 cm. (20 x 30 in.) by George Campbell was sold in the The Irish SaleVision & Voice auction at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,072.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Campbell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening In Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,167.01).

Die Arbeit Still life with crayfish 51 x 76.2 cm. (20 x 30 in.) von George Campbell wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice bei Bonhams in Dublin versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.072,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Campbell erzielen.
