Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Guitar Player by George Campbell was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 1,968.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Campbell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Evening In Connemara in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,167.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Guitar Player von George Campbell wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 1.968,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Campbell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Evening In Connemara im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.167,01).
