Auction result well in line with expectations
The work British Little Swansdown by George Adolphus Storey was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,983.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Adolphus Storey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphans in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 104,679.74).

Die Arbeit British Little Swansdown von George Adolphus Storey wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.983,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
