In August 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Portrait of a young woman by George Adolphus Storey. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,680.09), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Adolphus Storey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphans in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 104,679.74).

Im August 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a young woman von George Adolphus Storey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.680,09) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Adolphus Storey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orphans im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 104.679,74).
