Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kilburn Looking Towards Hampstead by George Adolphus Storey was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,304.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Adolphus Storey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphans in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 104,679.74).
