Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'Melencolia' by George Adolphus Storey was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,512.11). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Adolphus Storey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orphans in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 104,679.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Melencolia' von George Adolphus Storey kam im Februar 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.512,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Adolphus Storey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orphans im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 104.679,74).
