Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Den dansande matrosen, Kiev", 1955 by Georg Oddner was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 35,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 28,000.00 (€ 2,562.11). Other works by Georg Oddner have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2014 by the work "Den dansande matrosen, Kiev", 1955 at SEK 35,000.00 (€ 3,836.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Den dansande matrosen, Kiev", 1955 von Georg Oddner im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 35.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 28.000,00 (€ 2.562,11) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Georg Oddner wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2014 die Arbeit "Den dansande matrosen, Kiev", 1955 mit SEK 35.000,00 (€ 3.836,14).
