Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Poems in Cursive script by Gao Fenghan. It changed hands for a price of HKD 756,000.00 (€ 84,094.53) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Fenghan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album Of Peonies in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,015,000.00 (€ 732,967.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poems in Cursive script von Gao Fenghan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 756.000,00 (€ 84.094,53) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Fenghan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Album Of Peonies im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.015.000,00 (€ 732.967,95).
