In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work Thinking of Home by G. Harvey. The »bidding war« ended at USD 48,255.00 (€ 45,795.77), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by G. Harvey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boomtown Drifters in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 1,230,000.00 (€ 1,056,065.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thinking of Home von G. Harvey zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 48.255,00 (€ 45.795,77) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von G. Harvey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boomtown Drifters im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.230.000,00 (€ 1.056.065,94).
