Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection, which included the work Snow on 5th Avenue by G. Harvey. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,929.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by G. Harvey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boomtown Drifters in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 1,230,000.00 (€ 1,056,065.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow on 5th Avenue von G. Harvey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.929,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von G. Harvey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boomtown Drifters im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.230.000,00 (€ 1.056.065,94).
