This artwork by G. Harvey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2020. In the The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection auction, the work Rawhide and Thunder sold for USD 750,000.00 (€ 643,942.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 350,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by G. Harvey; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Boomtown Drifters sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of USD 1,230,000.00 (€ 1,056,065.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von G. Harvey erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection wurde die Arbeit Rawhide and Thunder für USD 750.000,00 (€ 643.942,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 350.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von G. Harvey; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Boomtown Drifters im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.230.000,00 (€ 1.056.065,94).
