Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Blossoming Tree on Canyon Road by Fremont F. Ellis. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,637.50 (€ 8,001.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fremont F. Ellis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blossoming Tree on Canyon Road von Fremont F. Ellis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.637,50 (€ 8.001,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fremont F. Ellis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
