Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chapel at Gascon by Fremont F. Ellis was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,495.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fremont F. Ellis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chapel at Gascon von Fremont F. Ellis wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.495,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fremont F. Ellis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Indian Summer - Santa Fe, New Mexico im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
